The roof is the most exposed part of any building. It takes sun, rain, wind and temperature swings every day, and when it fails, water reaches the structure, the interiors and the contents. Roof waterproofing solutions create a continuous, flexible barrier that keeps water out and lasts through repeated heating and cooling. Panache offers fabric reinforced waterproofing, two component systems and a combined cooling and waterproofing system, so a roof can be protected from leakage and heat with one approach.
Waterproofing systems for new roofs, existing roofs, industrial sheds and RCC terraces
Panache roof waterproofing systems are selected by substrate, roof condition and the level of heat control needed. The portfolio includes FAP waterproofing, Hi Seal slurry systems, 2K waterproofing and FASC, and it extends to Hi Seal, MicroSeal, PU Seal, Nanoseal and Eco CE Bond. Each system is described under waterproofing.

Roof waterproofing is the application of a bonded membrane or coating that prevents water from passing through the roof slab or sheet. A good system has three qualities: adhesion to the substrate, flexibility to follow movement, and durability under sun and rain.
Movement is the main challenge. A roof expands when it heats and contracts when it cools, and that daily cycle opens hairline cracks in a rigid layer. In fabric applied waterproofing, a fabric is embedded within the coating and reinforced with two component chemicals. It spreads the stress across the membrane and bridges small cracks, so the barrier stays continuous.
Heat control is part of waterproofing. A roof that is 65 to 70 °C in the sun, when the air temperature is 45 °C, moves more than a roof that is kept 18 to 20 °C cooler. A waterproof roof coating with a reflective layer reduces the temperature and the movement together.
Water entering through a roof damages plaster, paint, reinforcement steel, electrical systems and stored goods. On RCC roofs, water reaches the reinforcement and causes corrosion, which weakens the structure over time. On metal roofs, leaks occur at joints and fasteners.
Repairing leaks after they occur is expensive and repeated. Treating an existing roof with a fabric reinforced system avoids the cost of stripping and re-laying the roof, and it addresses the source of the leak instead of the symptom.
Waterproofing and cooling have a shared benefit. A cooler roof lowers the load on air conditioning, cuts electricity use and greenhouse gas emissions, and helps reduce the Urban Heat Island effect. See industrial waterproofing solutions for sheds and plants, and cool roof paint for the cooling side.
A cool roof coating on top of the waterproofing protects the roof membrane and reflects solar radiation, which supports a longer roof life cycle.

A cool roof coating has a binder, usually an organic or silicone compound, blended with pigments and additives. It protects the roof membrane for a longer life cycle and reflects solar radiation to reduce air conditioning cost.
The main components are the binder, pigments, reflective pigments and water. Water is the liquid carrier, and most white coatings today are water based.
The Panache white reflective elastomeric coating can reflect up to 92 percent of visible light and keeps the roof much cooler than aluminium, black or non-reflective roofing. It protects the substrate, adds years to the roof and avoids costly tear-offs and re-roofing.
