Green building rating systems such as LEED, IGBC and GRIHA reward buildings that reduce energy use, limit heat island effect and use responsibly made materials. Architects and consultants therefore need building envelope products that come with measurable performance and proper certification. Panache offers cool roof coatings, thermal insulation, waterproofing and water repellent systems that support LEED compliance, along with Green Pro and GRIHA certified products. The high SRI range is based on IR reflection technology and is measured by its Solar Reflective Index.
Certified building envelope products for roofs, walls and paved areas
Panache offers a Green Pro certified range of high SRI products and systems for roofs, walls, pavements, cycle tracks, driveways and roads. Together with thermal insulation and waterproofing, the range covers the building envelope from a single manufacturer. Architects can browse the full offer under our product segments and the dedicated page for green building products for architects.
A LEED compliant product is one that helps a project earn credits under the LEED rating system. For the building envelope, the main opportunities come from reducing heat island effect and improving energy performance. Both depend on how the roof and walls respond to the sun.
Almost 58 to 60 percent of solar radiation is infrared. High SRI coatings reflect it, so the roof and walls absorb less heat. Roofs stay up to 20 to 28 °C cooler and walls up to 10 °C cooler than conventional surfaces in peak summer, and the measure of a good cool surface is an SRI above 100. LEED sets minimum SRI values for roofs under its Heat Island Reduction credit, so the SRI value on the product data sheet matters. Confirm the applicable threshold for the LEED version your project follows.
Thermal insulation is the second lever. Insulmix products are made from sealed expanded clay, expanded microspheres and minerals, and are designed as low conductivity layers that slow heat flow through roofs and walls. Reflection at the surface and resistance inside the assembly work together to reduce the cooling load.
Buildings in Indian cities operate in a hot climate for most of the year. At an ambient temperature of 45 °C, a metal surface can reach 80 °C and a cement surface 65 to 70 °C. Air conditioning is the largest electricity load, and cooling demand keeps growing with income and construction.
Cool surfaces and insulation are passive measures. They reduce solar gain, lower peak power demand and curb pollution, and at city scale they help mitigate the Urban Heat Island effect and improve air quality.
For a project team, the value is in documented performance. Reflectance, emittance and SRI can be verified, and certifications add assurance about the product itself. Panache products are Green Pro and GRIHA certified. EPD and CRRC certification are in process, which will support product level disclosure and cool roof rating.
Low emission materials also matter for indoor environmental quality. Panache high SRI coatings are water based and low in VOC, which supports a healthier indoor environment.

Green buildings, commercial buildings, offices, air conditioned buildings and malls, on RCC and metal roofs.
Roads, pathways, driveways and cycle tracks, where a reflective surface addresses non roof heat island area.
Exterior walls exposed to the sun, using high SRI systems or insulation plaster.
Cooltops Premium and Cooltops Classic high SRI systems for green building roofs.
Cooling and waterproofing in one system, useful where a project needs both from a single roof build up.
All Panache products are Green Pro and GRIHA certified. The company is also in the process of obtaining EPD certification and CRRC certification for its cooling high SRI products. Using Panache cooling products reduces power costs, CO2 emissions and GHG emissions, and improves thermal comfort, health benefits, product quality and the indoor environment. Water Proofing: systems for roofs, foundations and structures.
Thermal Insulation: Insulmix roof screed, wall plaster and wall texture.
Water Repellents / Sealants: protection for masonry and exterior walls.
Metal Care: protective treatments for metal surfaces.
Wood Care: protective treatments for wooden surfaces.
A cool roof coating is composed of a binder, generally organic or silicone, blended with pigments and additives. It protects the roof membrane for a longer life cycle and reflects solar radiation to reduce air conditioning cost.
The main components are the binder, pigments, reflective pigments and water. Water is the liquid carrier that provides viscosity for a thin coat, and most white coatings are water based.
The Panache white reflective elastomeric coating can reflect up to 92 percent of visible light and keeps the roof much cooler than aluminium, black or non-reflective roofing, which lowers energy use and adds years to the roof.
